The digitized exhibition catalogues below are divided into two sections: the Detroit Museum of Art (1886-1919) and the Detroit Institute of Arts (1919-1923). The exhibition catalogues listed correspond with special exhibitions, including selections from the museum's collection, collections lent by other institutions or individuals for temporary display at the DMA or the DIA, as well as a combination of both. Each exhibition catalogue has been digitized and made available as .PDF files. Please click on the exhibition title to see the file.
Due to the nature of past bookbinding and the fragile condition of many of the items, some pages may appear off center or incomplete. Great attention was taken to ensure that each page was scanned in its entirety. Protecting the integrity of the original was of the utmost concern and while this results in pages that may not appear aesthetically pleasing, know that much effort was put forth to capture all the information contained on each page. Additionally, this list is updated periodically and not all catalogues are available in their entirety.
Exhibition publications vary in length from one page to over forty pages; larger publications may take more time to open depending on file size, Internet service, and computer capabilities.
